G Gathering Desserts First raises money for Girl Scouts

Desserts First raises money for Girl Scouts

What happens when you put together Girl Scouts, cookies and local chefs?  Delectable desserts made from everyone's favorite Girl Scout cookies! A crowd of nearly 400 people were lucky enough to taste the innovative desserts during this year's Desserts First: Girl Scout Cookies All Grown Up, the second annual Girl Scout Council fundraiser at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center.  The sweet cookie-inspired treats were served up by area chefs. Proceeds from the event will provide program opportunities, including camperships, to  area Girl Scouts.  Guests gave rave reviews of the evening, sponsored by Old Point National Bank and other community-minded businesses.  You can find Desserts First winning recipes on the Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast Web site, www.gsccc.org.
